dmgtd.log and daemons.log

my dmgtd.log and daemons.log on LMS 2.6 is very high beyond the recommended size limit. I have cleared up but after 2 days back to 5 06 6 times of the recommended size. how to solve issue. one of my Unix guy told me,he saw "logging application related errors to the messages file" how to correct them. please help!!!

Log file management is accomplished with the NMSROOT/bin/logrot.pl tool. This is documented in the Common Services online help, but essentially, you run logrto.pl -c to configure, then setup a cron job to run the script periodically to rotate your logs.
