Customer Query: Appreciate to check if it is possible to take CISCO devices backup through the Veeam backup solution (version 12).
My Answer: We can’t take backups of the configs directly to the veeam. The Veeam solution is being used mainly in the VM environment. We can backup the devices using the Solarwinds
Customer Response: Can we have official CISCO feedback, please
Team,
Please help me with your suggestions and solutions for the above customer request.

Hello,
it looks like they do not have a product specifically tailored to Cisco, but I would think, after all, it is just data. I opened a support ticket with Veeam...awaiting their answer.

Hello,
this is the answer I got from Veeam. Apparently they want to know exactly which Cisco products the customer wants to backup, can you get that info ?
" I saw a recent interest in modern backup solutions for Cisco products as my colleague spoke with you via the chat.
I wanted to get a more understanding of how the Cisco setup is you customer currently has - name and number of things needed to be protected as Veeam can indeed cover Cisco workloads , and also amounts of data and configs needed to be covered.
In case you would like to receive more details, assistance or a quotation for one of our backup solutions please let me know.
Feel free to reply to this email and I will get back to you as fast as possible or just let me know when will be a proper moment when should I call you back. "

Hello,
so here is the final answer from Veeam:
'Hi there!
Indeed I took a look with my stem engineer and unfortunately veeam cannot cover the switches and routers.'

Hello @arumugasamy ,
if you already backup Cisco configs using Solarwinds, why don't you do it in two steps?
Backup device configurations using Solarwinds and use Veeam to backup the vm on which Solarwinds is installed.
