Links visible in one topology view but not in another

I'm alerted by a customer that in some views the links between devices are missing.

I the layer 2 topology view these links are there. how can they be missing in another view?

I reran data collection for the devices concerned in the view but this didn't help.

See here the layer2topology view and see the links between SW2 and backbone SWB2

Now here in the group view we see SW2 and SWB1 and SWB2 but no links appear.

For me, if the link is visible in the layer2 topology between 2 devices, it should appear in any group have these 2 devices.

Or am I missing something imortant here?

So this is campus 5.2 in LMS 3.2

The second group is base on certains strings being there in certain user defined fields. Nothing special.
