Hi All,

I am able to open the login page but after provided credentials it is not redirecting just giving blank page.

https://hostname/CSCOnm/servlet/login/login.jsp?URL=CSCOnm%2Fservlet%2Fcom%2Ecisco%2Ecore%2Emice%2Emain%3Fcommand%3DinitializeAndValidate%26url%3D%2Fcwhp%2Fcwhp%2Eapplications%2Edo%26context%3D%2FCSCOnm%2Fservlet%26port%3D443

The current Common Services version is 3.0.5

Even when I tried locally in the server (by local host) also it is not redirecting after given login credentials.

Can someone please help me on this which would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Naidu.

Hi,

Kindly share the screenshot of the error instead of the link.

Also, you are running very old version of Common Service 3.0.5. It should be atleast Common Services 3.0.6.

Thanks,

Gaganjeet

Hi Gaganjeet,

The problem has resolved, now the page able to redirect after given the credentials.

But the present problem is, when I try to add new devices, Open common services it is giving the following error "DCA Server is down or inaccessible"
Please find the attached screenshot for the same.

Can you please suggest me what needs to be done to fix this issue.

Regards,
Naidu.

Please see if this helps :

Also, it strongly recommended as Gaganjeet already said to upgrade your CS to atleast version 3.0.6, as the various components in that older version are vulnerable and very old, like ssl, apache, tomcat etc.

Many of them creates an compatibility issue with OS as well.

I would recommend the above threads Certificate regeneration procedure to be used, irrespective certificates are expired or not.

Hi,

Lots of CiscoWorks realted services are down.

If possible, kindly share the syslog.log also

Kindly reboot the server and share the CiscoWorks services startup parameters. Go to Start > run > type services.msc and then share the screenshot of CiscoWorks related services.

Thanks,

Gaganjeet

Hi,

The log file size is around 400 Mb which is unable to upload.

Please find the attached file for the services that are running in the server.

Naidu.

Kindly confirm if you had rebooted the server and if yes, then kindly share the new pdshow output.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lachtum,

TomcatMonitor is still down.  Did you recently change the hostname on this server?  Check these other things:

  • Make sure your Windows startup services are setup this way:

CiscoWorks ANI database engine: Manual
CiscoWorks Daemon Manager: Automatic
CiscoWorks RME NG database engine: Manual
CiscoWorks Tomcat Servlet Engine: Manual
CiscoWorks VisiBroker Smart Agent: Manual
CiscoWorks Web Server: Manual
CWCS Cmf database engine: Manual
CWCS rsh/rcp service: Automatic
CWCS syslog service: Automatic
CWCS tftp service: Automatic
DFM dfmEpm database engine: Manual
DFM dfmFh database engine: Manual
DFM dfmInv database engine: Manual

  • Make sure DEP is set to essential Windows programs only (a change requires a reboot).
  • Make sure your anti-virus has an exclusion set for the NMSROOT directory and all its subfolders.

  If the problem remains, post:

  1. NMSROOT\TomcatMonitor.log.
  2. New pdshow.
  3. Output of "hostname" from DOS.
  4. NMSROOT\MDC\etc\regdaemon.xml.
  5. NMSROOT\lib\classpath\md.properties.
  6. Output of "pdreg -l TomcatMonitor" from DOS.
  7. Check for any errors during restart time in the Windows Event Viewer.
