LMS 4.0.1 - missing device model

Inventory jobs run successfully, but when running Inventory Detailed Device report, finding information missing under Chassis Model Name. Doing a MIB walk I do find Model name information is available under Standard Entitiy-MIB for the problem devices.

This is only occuring for Wireless AP 1200 (AIR-AP1232AG-A-K9) and select IOS Routers (870, 1811, and 1841). All other devices, except unsupported ones, are reporting properly.

I'm just a user of the system, but in talking with Administrators of the system - not finding the answer / cause / fix to resolve.

Is there something specific that needs to be set for these type of devices in order to pick up the model information?

Is there some update that would fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Rerun the inventory collection for that one device and post the screen shot and logs.

1. Inventory > Job Browsers > Inventory Collection

2. Note the job ID and get the logs from CSCOpx\files\rme\jobs\ICServer.

3. Also get the ICServer.log and IC_server.log with the hostname and ip if possible.

4. You might want to delete the device from LMS and re-add it and see if the information is updated.

Attached is the job log from a sample device - 1722.log

The ICServer.log did not have anything in it related to the device I ran the inventory for.

IC_server.log did have information related to the device used for the inventory for job 1722 - attached is the portion of the log pertaining to that device, with the IP changed to 1.2.3.4

Additional findings I performed was to verify the problem devices are actualy supported with Ciscoworks, using the "Supported Device Finder" and they are.

Lastly, using a MIB walker I am finding the model number is available on these devices under the Standard Entity-MIB 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.13.1

Due to issues at work, I have not been able to get back to this, but back now.

Here is a screen shot of the Missing Chassis Model Name information - also attached for readability;

Here is an excerpt of the ICServer.log that I believe is related to this;
