Portchannel question

On our VSS I have a portchannel that has 4 interfaces in it, using LACP.

only two of the physcial interfaces are enabled but I wish to enable them all. If I no shut the two shutdown interfaces what will happen to the 60 plus live VMs, will nothing happen?

Will the two addidtional interfaces just become available to the portchannel?

if they already configured part of the port-channel, i do not see any issue un shutdown the ports.

Note : just verify config and physical connection all good, so i do not see any issue here, enable 1 link at a time and monitor.

Thank you very much for your quick response.

Hi

You probably are going get an instantly  freeze due STP and Port-channel algorithm change.   I wouldn´t do it in business hours.

Personally never seen this behaviour of network get freezed (most case running myself with rapid-pvst)

But suggestion made was agreed that any changes while we doing on the Live network to be done in maintenance or change window.(due to some unexpected behaviours if any encountered).

Hello,

I would agree with @Flavio Miranda, definitely a change to do after hours. You don't know how the VMs (what VMs are these ?) react to that network change.
