Ports go down every Monday at 1am

RadioGeek
Level 1
Level 1

I have a Cisco 3850 48 port switch that is acting as our core switch.

Almost every Monday at 1am, ports 1-8 go down up down up.

I have searched for anything that could be possibly doing this to no avail.

The CAT 6 cables plugged into those 8 ports are all less than a meter long.

4 of the ports are access ports, the other 4 are trunk ports and none of them are part of a port-channel.

Any help is appreciated.

 - Activate syslogging on your platform , to a remote syslog server. Enable extensive debugging around the 'problem timeframe'. Same for snmp-trap logging to en external snmp trap receiver. Enable all possible snmp trap events. Configure ports with link/status logging enabled. And last but not least followup on the logs during normal production time-periods too and watch then for anomalies too, if any.

-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

I have done this and will monitor.

thank you.

Sure syslog is helpfull this kind of issue, which is unknown, make sure other switches also configured same way to log.
