remote syslog server

Hi all,

I want to learn working mechanism of RSAC.

We are using LMS 2.2 RME 3.5 and when syslog messages came a lot other server processes are nearly stopping. So a remote syslog server is a solution or not?

Sure, RSAC could alleviate the problem. Of course, you really should be trimming down the number of syslog messages you are sending to RME.

Do you happen to have a PIX sending syslog messages to RME? These are known to cause problems.

actually we are not using ciscoworks as a PIX sysloger,

Do you know the working mechanism of the RSAC?

How it forwards the syslogs to the RME? I think RME has got a database also?
