I want to replace the faulty Switch in the Stack.

removed the faulty from the stack

Have configured the Switch priority

connected the new switch into the stack

The version having mismatch in the newly connected switch

have copied the IOS from the other flash ie flash1 to flash 4

changed the boot variable for the new switch and reboot the particular Switch ( Reload slot 4 )

it not taking the Boot variable

Can you Please guide me how to change the boot variable for New switch alone

I tried boot system switch all flash:/XXXX/XXX.bin

Boot system flash4:/xxxxx/xxx.bin

everytime i save the config but it not getting effect.

how is the Stack version installed tar or bin file ?

check boot variable correct path :

Boot system flash4:/xxxxx/xxx.bin

#show boot (it show as below if you loging to master switch)

BOOT path-list : flash:c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE12.bin

Rather make complicate and some time required whole stack required to reload.

remove the 4th switch from stack, boot (using console make sure you have right Image and right switch number) and join back is easy quick fix.
