SNMP v2c

I want to configure my switch to run snmp v2c, but do not know how to do it(I do not find the exact command).

As I understand, by default the switch will use version 1. I configured as following:

sw(config)#snmp-server community xxxx ro

and in my snmp manager I indicated to use version 2.

The question is: will thw switch run version 2c if my snmp manager run version 2?

My switch is catalyst 2950. IOS version 12.1(19)EA1c

By default, the switch will respond to both snmp v1 and v2c queries simply by configuring:

snmp-server community xxxx ro
