Upgrade cisco prime 3.4 to 3.7

Dear Team ;

i'm looking for any experience , upgrading PI3.4 to PI 3.7 (Physical Appliance)

what the best recommendation to do it , it's the first time that i do it

anyone here has done this upgrade , any suggestion

PI 3.4 to 3.7 straight upgrade. is this HA or standalone?

check the checklist :

1. take the complete back up and store out of the box.

2. Make sure read the release notes :

it takes a long time and you need to have physical kit access.

The most "painless" method:  

1. Backup all your data
2. Stand up a new PI 3.7
3. Patch-and-pack the new PI 3.7
4. Import all the data

 - As stated earlier by provided error message(s0 -> make sure  the upgrade is tried from the appliance console  2) make sure to stop Prime first with ncs stop  command before trying your  upgrade command.

1) i was used the keyboard and monitor to access appliance

2) i type the command ncs stop

3) i type command application upgrade PI-Upgrade-31x_32x_33x_34x_to_3.7.0.0.159.tar.gz defaultRepo

unfortunately upgrade fails

 - Make sure that no disk partitions especially defaultRepo are nearly full , check with show disk command , if not have sanity reboot (also) and try again. But after reboot don't forget to issue ncs stop command first.

From ssh:

run ncs stop
ncs clean

it takes a while but clears this error. You will need to upload all the .GZ and .UBFs but, it works

also after reboot the upgrade fails

  - Make sure to logon as asmin (ssh) then issue the following :

sudo su -

cd /var/cache/logwatch/

rm -rf logwatch.*

Afterwards, try again,
