Solved: Upgrade cisco prime 3.4 to 3.7

Dear Team ;

i'm looking for any experience , upgrading PI3.4 to PI 3.7 (Physical Appliance)

what the best recommendation to do it , it's the first time that i do it

anyone here has done this upgrade , any suggestion

- It must be hampering the upgrade and is located somewhere ; to find out - become root on the appliance as was also shown to remove the logwatch files, then run the command, as root updatedb. Then use the locate command followed by one of the long-backup-filenames to find their 'native-linux-location' on the appliance , then you also have the option to transfer/remove them from the appliance which simpler means such as ftp and or scp. rm command can then be used to remove them from the particular directory.

PI 3.4 to 3.7 straight upgrade. is this HA or standalone?

check the checklist :

1. take the complete back up and store out of the box.

2. Make sure read the release notes :

3.- Make sure you check the device matrix compatibility and upgrade guide.

- As stated earlier by provided error message(s0 -> make sure the upgrade is tried from the appliance console 2) make sure to stop Prime first with ncs stop command before trying your upgrade command.

1) i was used the keyboard and monitor to access appliance

2) i type the command ncs stop

3) i type command application upgrade PI-Upgrade-31x_32x_33x_34x_to_3.7.0.0.159.tar.gz defaultRepo

unfortunately upgrade fails

- Make sure that no disk partitions especially defaultRepo are nearly full , check with show disk command , if not have sanity reboot (also) and try again. But after reboot don't forget to issue ncs stop command first.

From ssh:

run ncs stop
ncs clean

it takes a while but clears this error. You will need to upload all the .GZ and .UBFs but, it works

Internal filesystems:
all internal filesystems have sufficient free space

also after reboot the upgrade fails

- Make sure to logon as asmin (ssh) then issue the following :

sudo su -

cd /var/cache/logwatch/

rm -rf logwatch.*

Afterwards, try again,
