Hi everybody,

i configured subinterface for vlan on a 3745 router with IOS (tm) 3700 Software (C3745-IS-M), Version 12.3(16a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2).

i 've got the following message.

If the interface doesn't support baby giant frames

maximum mtu of the interface has to be reduced by 4

bytes on both sides of the connection to properly

transmit or receive large packets. Please refer to

documentation on configuring IEEE 802.1Q vLANs.

Someone can tell what it means ?

Baby giant frames refer to Ethernet frame size up to 1600 bytes, from:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_tech_note09186a00801350c8.shtml

Thanks a lot
