Hi folks,
Getting a new circuit installed at datacenter (1 Gig fiber MM handoff) and my thoughts were to use the one of the 1Gig ports using a SFP GLD-SX-MMD on the router(4461X).
Connecting to the CORE switch(4507) I had envisioned connecting one of the routers(4461X) 10Gig SFP ports using an SFP-10G-SR-S to one of the 10gig ports on the supervisor module using another 10G-SR-S SFP module.
Can the modules be interchangeable meaning could I use the 10G-SR in the 1Gig SFP router port?
Can the 2 10Gig interfaces on the router be used, one to connect to the ISP and one to the CORE switch using such modules?
Thanks in advance.

Optic should be same always boith the side, you can not mix with 10G with 1GB.

If the ISP is using a FINISAR SFP on the their edge router can the other end be used to connect to the Cisco GLD-SX-MMD on my equipment?
