Non Cisco SFP with C1000 & 2960

i have SFP & SFP+ from UBNT and i used it for Cisco switch

MM or SM model for both SFP & SFP+, they are working perfect on Cisco 9300 or 3650 (w latest IOS) but when it come to Catalyst C1000  or 2960 then it is "unknow"

It still able to detect when plug it but the cli "service unsupported-transceiver" removed by Calatyst C1000

SFP detectsh int capservices ...

and when i shot int cap then it show unknow

Anyone got issues like me and anyway to fix this issues?

its global command may be hidden, dont have cat 1000 to test, why not paste the command direcly on the global config mode and see if the command acceptable.

Other note - enabling non-Cisco transceivers doesn't guarantee they will work, and any issue cisco tac wont be able to assits you until you made chages as per cisco standard. - if this is critical i would suggest to buy cisco gear.

I did copy but no luck and im totally agreed that non Cisco SFP may not get any support by TAC but the Cisco SFP is too expensive if compare with the other :-(

On the other hand, the China SFP is working perfect without any issues and we cannot use the China stuff

i am not against using any SFP, as long it working. to save cost.

only concern cisco tac point of was, if any TAC engieer required to support, first they ask you to replace with cisco kit to support, or else no point to have smartnet contract (its waste of money).
