Need your expert help to clear up some confusion. I connecting the OADM to LCMB via cross connect drawer using MTP-to-8 MU cable supplied by Cisco. However after cabling and powering it up, I'm receiving loss of light both at wave and wavepatch interface. I've loopback the trunk and it still didn't work. Ruling out bad or dirty connectors (equipment and cable are brand new), I guess the culprit is the MTP-to-8 MU cable itself. Cross checking the manual, I realized that there's a mismatch between color convention on the CCD transition box and cable pinout.
The manual says
On CCD transition box the color convention are
Blue Gray Orange White Green Red Brown Black
While the cable core pairing color convention are
Orange Blue Brown Green White Grey Black Green
So which one do I follow? Apreciate your prompt response. Thanks.
