Hi all!
I am very new in optical networks, and I have to design interconnect for two datacenters. It use Fibre Channel (4 links) and GigEth (2 links). It has a 15km fiber between. I can't find CWDM solution for Fibre Channel, so i have to use DWDM solution. The smallest Cisco's DWDM solution i found is ONS 15530 DWDM. Looks like, that this is too large solution for such network. Also can you show me some example of it's configuration (i mean needed boards and modules)? I can't find information about needed fiber and it's attenuation.
Thank you for any help!

If the SAN switch is a Cisco MDS9000 you can plug CWDM optics directly in to the switch. Same for most Catalyst switches as well (there are also DWDM GBICs and you can mix CWDM and DWDM on the same fibre). The coloured outputs direct from the switch plug in to a set of passive filters.

You could use 15530 for this requirement, but perhaps just using the 10G aggregation card and standard 1310nm trunk optics. ie just TDM aggregation, no need for DWDM.

Can i use 15530-10GE-UPLINK (ONS 15530 10Gbps Uplink, 1310nm with SC) cards on both sides for interconnect ONS 15530 devices (as trunk) and 15530-FCGE-8P card (
ONS 15530 8-port Fibre Channel/GE Multiplexing Line Card) for client (FC and GE) connections?

Have you looked at equipment from ADVA Optical Networking (www.advaoptical.com)? They might have what you're looking for.
Cisco's first metropolitan area WDM product, the Metro 1500 Series, was actually manufactured for Cisco by ADVA.
Documentation for Cisco's CWDM SFP optical transceivers mentions support for Gigabit Ethernet as well as Fibre Channel. But so far I haven't seen a solution from Cisco that uses the Fibre Channel capability.
Hope this helps.
