Hello, I have a problem with 2801 CME :
1 terminal line
1 Channelized E1/PRI port
1 DSP, 8 Voice resources
1 cisco service engine(s)
But only the first 8 channels work properly for incoming call. After I have this log :

How can resolve my problem? Can I restrict incoming channel ressource?

Fab,
Your best bet would be to add DSPs. You can only handle 8 G711 calls at a time with 8 DSP channels.
You can confirm with the DSP calculator.

When the PRI was originally configured, you probably ran into an error when you created your pri-group that said you could only enable 8 channels. When you got that error, you probably just re-typed it using 1-8 instead of 1-24. When you did that, you only enabled the 8 channels.
The router will not allow you to configure more active voice ports than it's DSP resources will support. You have to buy more DSPs or tell your provider to busy out all but the first 8 channels.

Hi Fab,
Can you please perform "show isdn service". This will tell how many channels that your t1 pri has in service.
In order to take certain channels out of service, you can use the following command underneath the D channel:
eg.
int serial 1/0:23
isdn service b_channel 13-24 state 2
This command essential takes channels 12-24 out of service.

Hi, it appears that what is negotiated between your gateway and the pbx is that those particular channels are out of service. Unless you specifically configure those channels out of service on the D channel, then it is the switch that may be reporting those channels in that state. If the gateway does not have enough dsp resources, it will give you an error stating "not enough dsp resources" when you configure the t1 pri for the first time. A good test would be to reconfigure th e t1 pri with no a certain amount of known good channels and see if they still fail.

Hello,
When I try to use a 1/2 E1 :
int s0/1/0:15
pri-group timeslots 1-16
% Not enough DSP resources available to configure pri-group on controller E1 0/1/0
% The remaining dsp resources are enough for 8 time slots.
% For current codec complexity, 1 extra dsp(s) are required to create this voice port.
So to solve my problem, I try to use 1/4 E1 :
pri-group timeslots 1-8
For outgoing call no problem. For incoming call, the router use channel 1 to 15... But 9 to 15 doesn't work. My pbx is ccme on the router.

other guys have said this already. you need more pvdms to have more b channels configured. if you have a full E1 you have to have 1 dsp resource for every b channel. nothing else will work, period.
