Hi Guys,
Anyone know how to get wireless working on the 4400G? The only OS i can see on CCO is 5.03 which does not seem to have wireless as an option

The DMM is not an issue here...
As I mentioned above, your image file does NOT have the correct
MD5 Hash which signifies the WRONG Image or CORRUPTED image.
What is the File name that you are using?
and where did you get it from?

Hello,
You need DMP version 5.2 to support the wireless features.
The DMP Data sheet is here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/video/ps9339/ps7220/data_sheet_c78-480272.html
5.2 is a paid upgrade and is not available on CCO (www.cisco.com).
You will need to purchase Software License. Please contact you Local
Cisco Sales Rep or You Cisco Account Team.
Thanks

Thanks Tomas,
I have the software now. Unfortunately i'm having a few challenges uploading it onto my DMP. I uploaded 5.03 previously and all i needed to do was browse to the upgrade firmware section of the DMP and browse to the filename and then upload it. Now when i do this the response says:
"We recommend that you browse for a local file instead of entering its path"
Any ideas?
Cheers

Hi Tomas,
I've played around with this a bit more. I have tried to load 5.2 no luck, however reloading 5.03 works fine and downgrading to 5.01 also works fine. I have also reset the unit to its default configuration. I wonder if there is a possible upgrade path to get to 5.2 ?
Cheers

Yes, there is:
• 5.0.0 > 5.0.2 > 5.1 > 5.2
• 5.0.2 > 5.1 > 5.2
• 5.0.3 > 5.0.2 > 5.1 > 5.2
• 5.1 > 5.2

Thanks Paul,
Have upgraded to 5.1 on the DMP with no hiccups. Still can't upgrade to 5.2 though. I'm upgrading the device locally on the DMP 4400 itself (ie not remotely through DMS)

I've only upgraded via DMM. Did you watch the upgrade status?
http://dmp-ip/get_param?p=init.upg*
You can try enabling logging to the buffer with http://dmp-ip/set_param?log.enable=on and display it with http://dmp-ip/get_param?p=log.*.

Please provide the MD5 file check hash on the
image file that you are trying to use.
Thanks

Hi Tomas,

Ok, what is the filename that you are running the test on and where did you get
the file.
You have "Its F931B7295FD6D8F33C083C079328A09C"
The MD5 Hash should be "5eb16472cc10746933ac89d87c4ca24c"
This is most likely the issue that you are seeing. The image is corrupted or the
wrong image.
Cheers!

Gday Tomas,
It also might be this problem as well (I am running DMS 5.2 at the moment)
Excerpt from the following document…
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_2/dms/upgrade/guide/dms52upg.pdf
Upgrade Your DMPs
Caution
Because Cisco DMS 5.2 secures all communication between DMPs and your DMM appliance, you must upgrade your DMPs before you upgrade your DMM appliance. Otherwise, you cannot upgrade your DMPs at all and are prevented from managing them centrally.
Is there any way around this?
06-22-2010 07:42 AM
No, but where's the problem? You'll have to upgrade your DMPs before you upgrade your DMM, because otherwise DMM will not be able to communicate with the DMPs. If you do it the correct way, everything works fine.
Since 5.2 the DMM will use https to communicate with the DMPs and 5.1 does only support http, the DMM won't be able to manage players with version 5.1.
As far I understand, you are doing an upgrade direct on the player. If you're using DMM 5.1, the player will be able to upgrade, but DMM won't be able to manage it afterwards.

Hi Tomas,
Thank you for pushing the point. I made some enquiries and indeed i received a corrupted image (even though the file size was exactly the same as the working copy). I have a working image now and it looks like it works well.
Appreciate all your help guys!
P.S i dont think you need an upgrade path for DMP 4400 (i could be wrong here)h. You might need one for DMS though.
Cheers all.
