*57 Call Tracing

An education client of ours claims they used to use *57 when they had Centrex service and recieved a bomb threat. This would somehow assist in tracing the last call and immediately put them in touch with the local authorities. Anyone with info on this for a Callmanager/Verizon PRI environment?

If they have only one pri then simply make *57 a route pattern and send it out the pri. If they have more then one pri circuit then you would have to check Verizon but i would assume if all of the pri circuits are in the same trunk group from verizons perspective then it would work the same as if they had only one pri circuit.
