ART - [LDAP Access Error. Contact System Administrator.

Hi,

I am running Cisco Call Manager 4.1(3)sr1 on Windows 2000.7.4.

When logging into https://ccm/art I receive well the logon prompt however when attempted to log in I receive each time the error message [LDAP Access Error. Contact System Administrator.].

Have you logged in with the default account yet, and then assigned admin priveleges to another account? The first login has to be admin, admin - that will only work once. If you have done that, here is a link to a tech note on recovering access if you have lost the password:

Mary, thanks a lot for your quick reply. Well, the admin-admin doesn't work so I am expecting that a user(s) is already defined. The link you given me applies for 3.0 or 3.3; I do have 4.X so I presume that the (recovery)-procedure can be followed.

When following the procedure for 3.3: From the Directory, drill down to cisco.com > Groups, right-click CiscoAdminRepToolAdminGroupUsers, and select Properties.

Now the problem is that I do not have such user in my DC Directory!

Should I create it manually?

What happens if you do the following:

Reinstall plugin

c:\dcdsvr\DCdirectoryconfiguration.ini file

change SSL from true to false

c:\dcdsrvr\config\UMdirectoryconfiguration.ini file

change SSL from true to false

Verify LDAPURL is configured correctly under regedit.

I would just add the user you see in the directory under Groups, give it a password, and then try logging in to ART. I am pretty I ran into this before, someone did not recognize the user, and was cleaning up, removed it, and it was fine when we just created it again.
