I have call manager 3.2 and cisco 2650 router. I want to see the incoming number on my IP phone. Is there any way in call manager 3.2?

You can set in the gateway settings on call manager:

Calling Party Selection* Originator

Presentation Bit* Allowed

Display IE Delivery (checked)

Geoff

Thanks for the reply. I did but still it is shwoing unknown caller ID. By the way the call is routed through UNity. Callcomes in and than unity attendent route the call. Is any parameter on the unity to be defined.

Hi,

Here are some questions to guide in the right direction:

1.Does the interface that connects to the PSTN supports passing caller ID information.

2. Does the voice signalling protocol support passing caller ID? (for example, MGCP on an FXO interface might not support passing the Caller ID information)

3. Is the carrier sending Caller ID information in the first place? Running debugs such as 'debug voip ccapi inout' or 'debug isdn q931' might help here.

Good luck.

I have FXO card into 2650 router.and i have h323 gateway configured on the call manger.I checked with phone compnay and they are passing the caller id information. How will I know that interface supports the caller id or not.

First verify that is is one of these:

VIC-2FXO-M1 or VIC-2FXO-M2

If it is, then turn on 'debug voip ccapi inout while placing an inbound call. Verify from the traces that the information is being passed.

Regards.

It has VIC-2FXO-M1

the output if the debug voip ccapi inout is :The incoming call was coming from 4807973688 and the number was dialed was 6024580400.

Can you find that is it problem with router or call manager

Hi Rakesh,

The debug output you posted captured the call while in the CALL PROCEEDING stage. The interesting portion would have been a little earlier, in the SETUP phase. Can you test and post again and include the initial phase of the call? Turn on 'service timestamps debug datetime msec' in configuration mode so that the debugs may be timestamped.

What does the config of the voice port look like here? Is the 'caller id enable' command present? See also:

Regards,

Michael.

You gave me the very good link but still the caller-id command is not supported on the router. I am running IOS version flash:c2600-jsx-mz.122-12.bin. THe caller id is supported 12.1(2)XH or 12.1(3)T. Idon't know why it is not showing in my IOS.

So I understand that VIC-2FXO does not support caller id. Is it hardaware or software issue. Can we do something in order to VIC-FXO can support it ??

Thanks.

It works i have a VIC-2FXO-M1 and I am able to see the incoming calling number. I have an h323 gateway.

Somebody knows if I can upgrade/update VIC-FXO to VIC-FXOM2 ?

Does VIC-FXO support caller-id ??

Nope, you need the new hardware unfortunately.

Hello all, do you know if FX0 ports in EM-HDA-4FXO card support caller id?, thanks
