Anyone have an example of doing a plar from one IP phone to multiple other IP phones with CCME?

If you could create one shared line for multiple IP phones, (say B,C,D) and on IP Phone A, create a line with an extension and configure the following command, under ephone-dn mode...

intercom no-auto-answer.

The directory number should be the shared line of the IP Phones B,C,D. I hope this is what you are looking for...Have not tested this feature yet..

This works quite well using a shared DN - create each user with an individual internal DN, then create DNs that map to each outside line you would like to share. Map that ephone DN to multiple phone sets as required.

Only down side is determining which trunk will be seized for outbound calls. This will become less of an issue as newer versions of CCME are released.

A tip when doing this to setup analog answer groups for a set of users or a department - write down the outside lines, dial-peer number, ephone-dn number and the users that need it on a piece of paper or use a spreadsheet. If not, you will be scratching your head when go to support it later.

Example FXO configuration:

voice-port 4/1/1

connection plar opx 26903

description 209-827-xxxx

caller-id enable

!

ephone-dn 33

number 26903

label 209-827-xxxx

call-forward busy 26998

call-forward noan 26998 timeout 10

!

dial-peer voice 6 pots

destination-pattern 9.T

port 4/1/1

!

User ephone configuration:

ephone 13

username "Silva" password null

mac-address 0011.920E.xxxx

speed-dial 1 26999 label "PageAll"

type 7960

button 1:13 2:33 3:34

!

ephone 14

username "Parsley2" password null

mac-address 0011.5CD9.xxxx

speed-dial 1 26999 label "PageAll"

type 7960

button 1:14 2:33 3:34

I guess this really depends on how he wants to use the line. Wouldn't an overlay button be an alternative to a shared line. A shared line would allow him to put the call on hold and pick it up at the other shared line, whereas the overlay wouldn't. However, a shared line can't be used for a second call on the other phones, whereas the overly button is accessible during an active call on another phone.
