In terms of conference calling capabilities, what is the difference between the 7912G and the 7940G.
Also,
In terms of purchasing, how do I know to buy a phone with a user station license or a CCME station user license.
CCM 4.1(3)
Thanks in advance

You could use the 7912G to join and listen to a conference call, but not to be an active participant. As indicated in the following link, this phone is capable of call monitoring, but has no microphone for conference call participation. The CCME station license is for use with Callmanager Express. In your case, you would purchase the CCM license.

I disagree, the 7912G can be an active part of a conference if you use the handset, its only if you if you use the speaker that you cannot be active as there is no microphone in built..
