Controller the BTN and caller ID for MGCP PRI trunk....

Currently we have a calling plan that has the XXXXXXX for local calling and

[2-9]XXXXXXXXX for metro and 1[2-9]XXXXXXXXX for LD. Call are completing, but LD carrier says there are getting one number BTN (billing telephone #) for all DID's we are sending out, done as a calling mask per line/phone.

Since LEC said since they aren't recieving a BTN the are masking it on its PIC to LD carrier. Is there a way for me to control the BTN and the ANI (calling mask)?

You can set the ANI that is presented to the PSTN several places:

1. You can set it per trunk so that all calls going out a particular trunk have the same ANI. Go to Device -> Gateway and find the gateway that you want to change. Under Outbound Calls, you can configure the Caller ID DN.

2. You can set it at the Route Pattern by filling in the Calling Party Transform Mask or by checking Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask. If this box is checked, the value configure for the External Phone Number Mask for each DN will be the value sent to the PSTN.

3. You can set it at the Route List in Route Group details by filling in the Calling Party Transform Mask.

4. You can set it clusterwide with the Caller ID service parameter under Clusterwide Parameters (Device - PRI and MGCP Gateway) under Service -> Service Parameters in CCM admin.

I would recommend setting it at the route pattern by checking Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask. This will require that the External Phone Number Mask field be filled in for each DN. This is all also dependent on your carrier allowing you to send out something other than the BTN.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

Apreciate the post.

I do currently have the External phone masks setup. Caller Id is working fine.

However, since the LEC says they aren't getting a 'calling plan' info or being told what BTN number to use, they are using the PRI's BTN as the BTN mask and then passing the ANI. Calls complete, but here is the issue.

We have sub accounts with the LD carrier. They are looking for a BTN and ANI to complete call. If they don't get BTN they will go off ANI. However they are getting the standard BTN from the LEC because evidently we aren't sending it from the CCM. This may have to do with minipulating the q931 calling plan info over the PRI. Any idea's?
