If the Corporate Directory doesn't appear on a phone (under the button: Directories on a 7940) any suggestions on what I can look at to have it appear?

You may want to ensure that under "Enterprise Parameters" you substitute the name of the servers with their respective IP address specifically at the "directories URL" input box (assuming that you are running Callmanager and not Callmanager Express).

There are some bugs with the corporate directory not being displayed, even though all config is correct. In that case upgrade the phone load to latest.
1. Make sure the URL Directories in Enterprise parameter has the ip address of Publisher instead of hostname.
2. Upgrade to latest phone load, 6.0.4 has helped me.
