CUCM 10.5 Self Provisiong login issue

Hi,

Customer has CUCM 10.5(1). We have configured Self Provisioning with login on the phone (not IVR). I keep getting "Login Unsuccessful" when typing in Userid + Pin on the login page on the phone. I have gone through the Cisco Deployment guide and cant find the root cause of this issue.

Anyone run into this probelm?

Thanks Mattias

Hi Mattias,

Self-Provisioning from the phone interface uses the user password instead of a PIN. A PIN is used for Self-Provisioning through the IVR interface.

A user has a couple of options for how to use Self-Provisioning. The first is to dial the extension assigned to the Self-Provisioning IVR. If you have enabled authentication for the application, then the user will enter their Self-Service User ID and their PIN. The second is to use the phone interface, which is “advertised” via an Idle URL configuration. From the phone, the user will still enter their Self-Service User ID and their password. So, that’s where the “via password or PIN” option comes into play. In either case, the IVR application will authenticate the user based on their credentials, associate the user to the DN auto-created for them, and re-assign the auto-registered as well. When the phone re-registers, it will use the UDT and ULT settings specified in the User Profile associated with the end user account via the Feature Group Template assigned to the synchronization agreement.

Hi,

must be the PIN from the phone, hence it will only give you numerical option. Still can not login.

Hi,

It works now:-)

On LDAP integration page I checked apply mask with config then users were imported with Self-service Userid and Primary extension.

Thanks for your support!
