Dial-peers with publisher/subscriber

Hi,

we are installing a publisher and subscriber and a h.323 gateway with dial-peers.

In my opinion we have to configure two dial-peers inside to the publisher and subscriber.

How could we achieve that the call is routed to the active callmanager, which have the phones registered.

Second issue:

how could we block that calls are coming in via the pots dial-peer that this calls are using the pots dial-peer again?

Yes you are thinking in the right direction to use two dial-peers to achieve H.323 CCM redundancy. This is usually done via the preference command under the dial-peer. The following link should provide you with a good enough idea of how to proceed with the configuration:

Have you looked at using MGCP or do you have a particular requirement to go with H.323?

For the second part of your question are you trying to prevent call forwarding? If yes then it is normally done through a combination of partitions and calling search spaces in Call Manager itself.

unfortunatly we have to use h.323.

the second issue:

the gateway is linked to a pbx.

we have a pots dial-peer (dest-pat .T) and two voip dial-peers (dest-pat .T), which points to the Callmanager.

We are recognizing the incoming calls via the the pots peer are routed on the same pots peer out, without using the voip peer which points to the callmanager.

How could we achieve that the incoming call is not using the pots peer again?

Add the command "incoming called-number ." under the potas dialpeer or "answer address ."

i would presume that your extension on your call manager all begin with the same digit (big presumption i know) ie 2xxx. if this is the case why don't you change the dest-pat to reflect this.

or if the pots dial peer is only used for external calls ie prefix 9xxxxxxxxx you could change the dest-pat to 9T

this will still keep your dial peers to a minimum but depending on your dialing patterns you might have to create more than one
