I know that RS232 in DMP system is for sending control messages to LCD screen. On this DMP, I see that RS232 is in the form of 2.5mm jack.

Can anybody tels me what is the application and difference between these two.

Hi,
I believe the use for this Jack RS-232 port on the 4310 is the same as the 9-pin one on the 4305.
I guess it was just changed to spare some space on the back panel of the DMP to leave it for the new connectors introduced on the new model.

OK. Thanks for answer. Probably only different cable will be needed for conection between display and DMP.
