Different Memory Size on Publisher and Subscriber?

Dear All,

My conmpany has two Callmanager in a cluster (one is publisher and one is subscriber). Both are MCS-7815I-2000 with 512MB Memory.

Is it ok to add 512MB Memory on Publisher only so that Publisher is 1GB Memory and Subscriber is 512MB Memory?

Thanks.

Chan

My hardware is different, MCS 7835, however, I have 3GB on my publisher and 1GB on my subscriber. I haven't found any problems with mismatched memory.

Yes, you can have different type of servers in the same cluster; different supported memory sizes. I don't think we have MCS-7815I-2000 with 512 MB RAM. I think the minimum RAM was 1GB.

The 7815 & the first Gen of the 7815I's had 512M of RAM. All new 7815I will be shipped with 1G of RAM.

It is OK that the Pub & sub have different amounts of RAM. YOu can put more RAM in the server as long as it is compatable with the server type.

Nevermind. Figured it out.
