Disabling Mute Tone

Currently when users hit Mute Button on or off on the 7970 phones there is a beep sound. Is there any way to disable the beep?

Currently when users are on speaker phones and they press the mute button the remote party can hear the tone.

You may of already figured this out, but the answer is no. There is no feature on Callmanager or on the phone to disable the beep sound or the Mute button. WAD (Works as Designed).

Nope; this is working built into the phone's firmware and not a setting. Just to be clear: only the user hears this tone locally. It is not heard by anyone else on the call.

Nope, only headset and speakerphone can be disabled within the Product Specific Configuration Layout section of the Phone Configuration page.
