We are running a cluster made of 2 CCM 3.3.4.
Our Gatewayq (Cisco 1760) with 1 E1, are configured in MGCP.
When FE port is disconnected from Network, isdn L2 stays in MULTIFRAME_ESTABLISHED.
Result is that incoming calls from PSTN are sent to this Gateway, but Gateway doesn't answer to RX->SETUP Message. After to SETUP, CO send a :
*May 9 10:31:52.683: ISDN Se0/0:15 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8 callref = 0x1946
Cause i = 0x87E6 - Recovery on timer expiry
How can we change the behaviour of the router to bging ISDN L2 Down to avoid provider to send to us SETUP messages.

Fabien

Not sure, but wondered why you would want to configure the router like that?
Have you considered using fallback to H323 and route calls using that?

I dont know a way to do it in MGCP configuration.
But in a H323 mode you can bind the FE port IP address as the source address for the h323 Gateway.
In that way when FE becomes unresponsive the H323 will prevent ISDN L2 to be up.

Try this out
mgcp bind control source-interface Ethernet0/0
mgcp bind media source-interface Ethernet0/0
in your global config.
Hope this helps.
