Enabling CDR

Hi,

I need to enable CDR reporting, so we can start to track certain type of calls.

The issue i have is that ccm1 (publisher) hits around 90-95 CPU usage with the CDR process running, this normaly last for around 5mins then reoccures every 15mins or so - this is happens regardless if there are any flat files ready to be processed.

We're running CCM 4.0(1 sr2a) with all the latest OS patches etc.

Any ideas ? is this normal or should i raise a TAC

Need to know what 3rd applications e.g AV, etc.. hardware e.g. Memory you have installed on this server, plus the model of server as well.

While the CPU is spiking could you please go to task manager and check to see which process PID is causing the CPU usuage it may be java.exe or inetinfo.exe process/service, but please have a check.

Please try uninstall CAR/ART then monitor if all is fine please try installing CAR again.

Have a look at the following DDTS.

* CSCeb54778 —CDR Analysis and Reporting (CAR) menu option not showing up

* CSCea55522 —art_log.ldf file grows very large, CAR records may stop purging

* CSCdx22199 —High CPU from java.exe after reboot

* CSCdx48882 —Manual purge of CDR data spikes the CPU to 100%

* CSCdy60211 —High CPU issues when running reports in ART

* CSCeb43209 —High CPU usage by Java when Cisco Telephony Integration Enabled Users report is opened

* CSCea06051 —stiBackup does not purge files after backup

* CSCed51086 —CAR report taking high CPU on the Active Directory (AD)

Cheers!
