extension on IP Phone 7940 marked cross

Hi All

 

I have a Cisco IP Phone 7940 who has the extension with X marking on it.

Earlier the phone was registered with Asterisk Server and even after factory resetting the phone, the phone still came up with the previous configured extension along with the new extension.

 

Please suggest what to do to overcome this issue.

Hi Rohit,

from where the phones getting the IP ? is it from DHCP and do you have option 150 configured with CUCM TFTP on your switch/DHCP??
Can you try with manually configuring the network settings on the Cisco IP phone with Call Manager TFTP?

Yes, I have tried manually configuring the network settings also but no luck.

The Phone has SIP written on the top right corner of the screen, and like I mentioned earlier the phone was registered earlier with Asterisk Server.
