Hi All
I have a Cisco IP Phone 7940 who has the extension with X marking on it.
Earlier the phone was registered with Asterisk Server and even after factory resetting the phone, the phone still came up with the previous configured extension along with the new extension.
Please suggest what to do to overcome this issue.

Yes, I have tried manually configuring the network settings also but no luck.
The Phone has SIP written on the top right corner of the screen, and like I mentioned earlier the phone was registered earlier with Asterisk Server.
