I have two sites running CCME 3.3 on 2801 router. I want to run G729 between the two sites. Anybody know whether any documents to show how this is done. Apart from enabling dspfarm on the voice-port and specify on the voip dial peer to use codec G729 do I need to do anything else?

Besides that you can also use voice-class codec where you can specify set of codecs to use with more options..
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1 g729r8
dial-peer voice 99 voip
voice-class codec 1
Let me know if you get into any issues.

Setup :
Phone --> CAllmanager 8.5 --> WAN-->MGW2(2811)--> Carrier SIP Connection.
Problem : Phone rings then disconnect automatically.

Are you using CUE as well? If so, you might need to setup transcoding on your routers to send calls to CUE at G.711
