I have a router configured as h323 gateway talking to a call manager, i also want this router talking to a sip proxy (not cisco), so SIP endpoints can call Cisco IP phones on the call manager. Can this conversion be done on the router? i know call manager do sip trunks now, but i'm just curious if this is supported on the same gateway,

Hi,
before thinking of H323 -> SIP conversion, you have to consider that if a call comes from a SIP endpoint and then goes via H323 to the CCM, then both the call legs are IP. In such a case, the Cisco gateway should be able to suupport the "IP-to-IP gateway" feature with the corresponding IOS. In the newer version of the IP-IP feature IOS, conversion between H323 and SIP is possible.
