You don't say what your recordings were made in, or what format they are.

It's possible to convert things to MP4 on a mac - just have a look at the many threads on the Apple Support Communities site.

Thanks wayne...

Yes its the ARF files that webex gives me after a webinar...

ARF files only seems to be able to be converted by that network recording player... which is again by webex... when I search on google there is nothing out there I can see that can convert ARF files to mp4 other then that webex network recording player.

BUT, the network recording player on mac wont let me convert it either... only on windows machine.. I dont understand why Webex did this...

Its very frustrating as ARF files are not compatible with literally anything...

If you have any suggestions on what I can do would be great... last time I was told by Webex that ARF files can not be converted on mac and I had to get a guy from india on the cisco team to conver it for me... on his windows machine and then send it to me... thats how bad it is...

Please help.

A quick google of "ARF to MP4 MAC" turned up these:

http://www.cicever.com/videos/arf-converter-player.html

http://www.idealshare.net/video-converter/arf-to-mp4-converter-mac-windows.html

http://www.aiseesoft.com/resource/convert-arf-to-mp4.html

If none of those help, I'd suggest you move your post to one of the more WebEx related forums rather than the "Other Collaboration" section it's currently posted in.

Thanks unfortunately none of them work...

Tried them before...

My question is how come I can not do this with the network recording player? which says on the website it can convert the files for mac... but it clearly does not work...

Thoughts?

Yup. Same. I have included a screenshot.

None of the links you provided will convert an ARF to an MP4 on a Mac. Any other ideas?  I'm getting desperate.  I need to turn this ARF file into a VOD and Cisco's VOD site won't accept it.

Have you checked out the post by Allan here: https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/284714 where it discusses that you need to use a 3rd party capture utility to grab the audio while playing it back with the standard player.

As you're a Cisco Employee @erobson, you may have more luck trying to find something through your internal Cisco channels than here in the public forums.

A workaround is to use the Network-Based Recording Player on a Windows PC to convert ARF recordings to MP4.

YESSSSS Completely agree here. This is absolutely absurd. I have the player on my computer downloaded now too and no dice. What a joke. It is embarrassing that WebEx has not resolved this issue after 11 months.

No option to convert as advertised on their website.

Add another 12 months of ZERO development on WebEx EventCenter.  Seems like this product hasn't been touched by development in about a decade.  If you're not going to support your users, just cancel the product.

This sentiment I absolutely agree with. Just get it to work on a Mac. Not hard, really.

Today is 2020 and it doesn't work

I had the same problem...... I could not find a way to convert arf file into mp4 using mac. According to webex website ideally we should be able to use network recording player to convert arf to mp4. But it seems it only works for windows.......Not sure why they did not mention it on their website.......

Hi Team,

I have created a cloud API solution for ARF to MP4 conversion. No need to install Webex player. Cloud API solution has a OS independent solution, and easy to use.
