How to change the bearer capability on MGCP gateways

Our customer used to have a cisco voice gateway 2651XM talking H323 to ccm. We had to change the bearer capability for outgoing calls from speech to 3.1Khz audio. This was achieved by:

router(config-if)isdn outgoing-voice info-transfer-capability 3.1khz

Now the customer runs the gateway under MGCP. How can the same thing be done under MGCP? The interface command does not work anymore.

To set the 'Information transfer rate' in the bearer to 3.1KHz on outbound calls you need to configure the description field to "##BC=3.1kHz##" on the Call Manager's Gateway Configuration page (without quotes). Hit update and reset the gateway.
