Hello,
I am searching for an IP enabled overhead paging system that I can page multiple locations at once. The IP portion is to leverage the data (T1) point-to-point connections. I think Valcom may make a unit that supports this but could not find it in their website. Any ideas???

We're looking at evaluating the new voip enable valcom paging units.
In the past we hav used traditional valcom units connected to a fxs connection on a router. Works great.
We have one site where we interfaced a valcom unit that features a remote door unlock, with a two way paging capability. For this one we also conencted to an fxs interface on a router and configured PLAR so that the person at the door can call and be buzzed in. The client has been very happy with the solution.

Your best bet is to use a trunk level paging adapter. Valcom has several trunk level adapters and they offer free design support. All you need is a free FXO port and a route in callmanager.
Just beware of station level paging adapters; some users may accidentally forward their phones to them (dont ask why or how) but when they do you get inbound calls going straight to the paging system.
Valcom one way paging adapters
Valcom does have an IP paging speaker but to my knowledge you can only address one speaker at a time

Viking Electronics (also has good paging equipment, and its a little cheaper)

Check this out
It looks very promissing, so much so that I am working on deploying it over the next week or so.
