Hi All,
I am trying to configure federation between Jabber and Lync. But it fails the an error message on Expressway-E "Request Timeout Protocol=TLS= 408.
Topology is like IM&P---Expressway-C---Expressway-E -----Internet-- Microsoft Edge
I have installed Root and Intermediate certificate of MS Lync in Expressway-E and C and MS team has installed my Root and Intermediate certificate as well.
Can anyone help ?

Hi Prasanth,
Please verify the config as per the following, check the ports related info on pages 47-48 in particular
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-7/Cisco-Expressway-Microsoft-Lync-Deployment-Guide-X8-7.pdf

HI Manish,
Thanks for the message. From IM&P the call coming to Expressway-C on port 5062. I believe that needs to be port 5061 ? If yes, how can I change ?
Call failing with 404 error on Expressway C

Check the pages 25.26,29,35 of above doc for SIP ports related config.

First of all the document is for B2B connection. My scenario is different. I am running MRA on expressway and I have XMPP federation up and running. Now, I am trying to federate with External Lync server. I can see calls coming into Expressway and but it is failing with 404 error code.
Above document is not really helpful.

Hi Prasanth,
For such a setup check the "Configuration Task Flow for Microsoft Lync Federation"
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/im_presence/interdomain_federation/11_5_1/cup0_b_interdomain-federation-115/cup0_b_interdomain-federation-115_chapter_010101.html
It needs to be used in conjunction with the following ( page 4 clearly mentions that its not a B2B scenario )
http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-9/Cisco-Expressway-SIP-Broker-Deployment-Guide-X8-9.pdf

HI Manish,
I have gone through this document already. Any other thoughts ?

If the config has been verified then you need to get the Diagnostic logs from VCS/Exp to proceed further, it could be a firewall issue as well, like the ssl timer on the firewall could be causing this.
