Limit total inbound calls to shared lines

Is there any way in CM 4.x to limit the number of inbound calls that can be handled on a shared line. For example, I am trying to share line 1000 on two phones, each phone allowing 2 calls for that line. I want to configure the total number of calls across the shared lines to ring busy after 3 calls are in progress instead of having the 4th call ring in as the last call waiting call.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking at.I assume you want 3 calls to be handled on extn 1000.Is that right.

You can try to do this as follows.

Configure 3 partitions -- P1,P2,P3

configure 3 Calling search space -CSS1,CSS2 ,CSS3

CSS1 contains Partions1 and this is the general partitions which every phone can reach.

CSS2 contains only P2

CSS3 contains only P3

Configure both the phones as follows.Disable callwainting on all the lines.

Line 1 1000 partitions: P1 Css-CSS1

Callforwarsding on this is as follows.

CFB and CFA- 1000 and CSS is CSS2

Line 2 1000 P-P2 CSS-CSS2

CFB and CFA 1000 CSS-CSS3

Configure the 3rd line similary.
