I have read several links and even the Cisco IP Telephony Troubleshooting guide states that an IP Phone can have UP TO 3 CCM servers.
Is that true?
I can see a list for 5 CCMs in the IP Phone itself.
Can someone shed some light on this?

You can have up to 3 CCMs and a SRST reference. Not sure why it's 5 not 4, probably for future use.
