Modem passthrough difficulties

Hi All,

I've configured modem passthrough on 2 x 3600 gateways. 9 times out of 10 they work fine, but sometimes the modem passthrough won't kick in (seen on the "show call voice active bri"). I guess it's not picking up on the modem tones at one of the other end - any ideas of how to tweak it?

Hi Stuart,

Please modify the following :

1. Remove the "fax rate 9600" from the dialpeer 9 voip in 3620 as that would be used only for fax relay and for modem passthrough we need to use higher speeds.

2. Remove the "fax rate 9600" from the dialpeer 401 voip in 3660.

I assume that you are using the codec g711alaw which is the standard for you.
