I was wondering if it is possible to do initial setup of the TCP\IP configuratino of the system from the CIMC interface. I am not seeing that capability. Most likely because the CIMC is hitting the hypervisor and not the windows server. It looks like alot of the configuration is on the Windows server. I just dont have console access right now and need to get this initially configured to update and ship.

Yes, this is possible. Since the initial configuration must be done via a key board and monitor connected to the MXE, you can use the remote KVM function in the CIMC to accomplish the same thing. Thanks, Mike

@Mike
The Quick Start documentation states that you have to access the system and setup TCP\IP via Windows. I dont see that display when using the Remote KVM.

Not sure what you mean by "access the system and setup TCP\IP via Windows." Do you have a link and page number for the guide you are using? If you are doing an initial config of the MXE you need to run the setup script that will step you through entering all the info needed.

That is the quick start guide i am looking to use. If you have something more concrete to follow please share.

Can you confirm what version your MXE is running? The link you posted is for version 3.0, which is quite old (3.3 is current). I'm pretty sure back then it was a bare metal windows install, which is why it would be referencing logging into Windows.
