i want to use netmeeting to make calls to PSTN through Cisco 3660 GW. but I don't want to use CCITT G.711 ulaw or alaw in netmeeting. i tried others CODECs and none of them work with the router. is there any other software like netmeeting that allows me use G.729 or G.723?

I looked on my netmeeting and I see g.723 for 6k and 5k. If you are going to use the codec on the router I believe you have change the codec complexity from medium complexity to high complexity. Let me know if you do not know how to do this.
Thank you,

thanx, Mckee.
but i can't set the entire voice card to be high complexity because the router is carrying VoIP traffic, netmeeting is only used for temperal testing. is there a work around?

Why can't you use g.711? I have only get g.723 and g.711 to work with netmeeting. I went back and looked at netmeeting again and only see support for g.711 and g.723.
What codec are you wanting to use?
Let me know if I can help,
