Just a simple question.
I want to integrate Unity with a callmanager and analog trunks.

One of our customers has an old PBX telephone system with no voicemail integration options
and we just installed a cisco callmananger.

The next step is installing Unity with multiple integration.

In the PBX we want to setup a way for callers to get information via just one menu structure (a menu of one key dialing options).

So I think a solution could be to just connect a few analog PBX trunks with the Unity server, change opening greeting handler (allow caller input, greeting press one for this, press two for that etc.).
There will be no subscribers for the PBX.
Callmanager subscribers can listen to their voicemail, either direct or forwarded via opening greeting and using the ‘*’key.

Could we get some problems when configure it this way (maybe there occure some events or errors because of no integration).

Please advise. Thanks!

Cheers,
Cas

The default behavior for calls that arrive without integration is to route them to the opening greeting. As long as you program your main greeting with appropriate caller input options, you should be able to use it this way.

There is logging of errors in integrations that expect to see what is called "CALLINFO". An example would be a serial integration with an incoming call that had no corresponding serial packet. That could write an error to the event log. However, this shouldn't be the case with analog integrations. If no in-band digits are sent, no big deal.
