Hi All,

I can make and receive voice calls from the DX80. However it doesn't pass video. Is there something missing in the programming of the device in CUCM?

Thanks for your help.

Stephon

Hi Stephon,

I had(have) a similar problem on a new BE6k 10.5 install. The DX80 and sx10 endpoints connect on audio only.

I have reduced the System/Region setting for maximum session bandwidth bitrate for video calls to 384k and video starts working. However, if you increase rate to just 512k the calls return to audio only. The System/Location setting is set to unlimited.

Does anyone know the solution?

thanks Neil.

Check the locations setting that is assigned to the two devices and make sure that video bandwidth is available.

The response say "remote party has video turned off.

In System Location, Both devices are setup for 384.

Hi George,

Thanks for reponding to this question. Bandwidth is availble, devices are on the same LAN in fact they are just a few feet away from each other. I can make and receive calls. just no video.

Hello,

By bandwidth, I didnt mean the physical bandwidth but the bandwidth that CUCM allocates for each call. It can be found under System -> Locations and under the appropriate locations the phones are assigned to. Also make sure that you have "Video Calling" enabled under the device itself. Its under Device -> Phones -> Find the phone and search for "Video Calling".

Hi Neil,

I just got around to trying your setting and I was able to get video when I changed the Region to 384.

Thanks. Stephon

Hi All, i have DX80 with latest firmware installed and we use it in company along with EX90 devices.

Problem is when i dial someone from DX80 , on the recipient device screen is blank, sometimes no sound at all . Then if that person click on Hold call then resume, all is fine picture and sound are back and meeting can work normally.

We are using Cisco Telepresence portal http://lon-tp-tms/tms/ and booking meetings from portal is working fine , only i have problem when trying direct call from device to some other .

Any help would be fine, i have also attached configuration from device, since i do not know what more to try,

Cheers,
