Paging Noise

Hello,

We recently swapped out a 2821 router with a 4331. After the swap, paging works but the complaint is the voice coming through is garbled and hard to hear. The config from the old router is applied to the new router. The paging did not have this issue before the swap.

timing hookflash-out 50

Any suggestions to correct this issue would be appreciated.

Hi Chad,

Is it affecting only the Paging announcements or are there any other normal voice calls also going through this router which are also affected?

If its affecting all voice traffic then you should get the QoS settings verified.

Hello Manish,

Thank you for your response. The only issue is paging traffic. We made more adjustments on the voice port and were able to get one room to sound clear but all others are still muffled a bit? We even adjusted the settings on the paging system but that did not correct the issue.
