Sometimes a phone will ring and when we pickup the receiver, the phone stays on-hook and keeps ringing. I am running ICS7750 1.1(1) w/ CM3.0(8), IP7960 phones, fully switched network with 3524-PWR-XL switched and gigabit uplinks between each switch. There are no voice quality issues on the network. VOIP network uses 10.2.x.x (mask 255.0.0.0) and data network uses 10.0.x.x (mask 255.0.0). Any ideas?

Maybe a bug in the phone's firmware. Have you tried flashing the latest code? Ive never seen that behavior.

We have found a problem with the flash-hook button on the phone being too sensitive or "sticking".
For example I went to prop my feet on my desk and the vibration from my feet caused the hookflash to hangup the call. Boy was i pissed...way too sensitive.
About 5% of our phones have to be RMAd to fix the hookflash. The tolerance of the hookflash needs to be increased in manufacturing.

I know that late last year, the spring assembly under the hook button was redesigned somewhat due to some force issues. So if you have had the phones a long time then you may have the old assembly. However, I think most of the problem reports related to this were that the phone was not always going on hook in the completely inclined position or wall mounted.
Another thing that will probably improve your situation is to invert the tab that sits directly below the hook button.

We sometimes have the same trouble and it almost always turns out the the phone has the wall-mount tab turned up (the one that keeps the handset from falling off when the phone is mounted to the wall). What seems to happen is that the user puts the phone down on the cradle, but it misses the hook button. So when a new call comes in the user picks up the handset and since it wasn't sitting on the hook button, it doesn't answer the call unless you hit the hook button or the Answer softkey.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the help. I will look into the hook issue. I will also see if I can upgrade the phones' firmware. Any idea if I can get the latest firmware and use it with CM3.0(8)?
