You will need to put that particular line in a calling search space that has access to only one partition. In that partition, make a translation pattern with destination of null (do not type anything in the destination pattern field of the translation pattern). Now, translate this "null" number to the number that you want dialed. That should work. If it does not, please attach ccm traces.

Your statement above does not tell us the exact problem you have. Can you please expand?

I have created the null translation pattern. I created a CTI route point with the translation pattern pointed to the route point number. I have that route point number forwarding to an outside line. I tried translating it to an internal number with the same result. It appears that is is trying to dial but something is not translating properly.

Thank you,

Hmm. I am not sure why you are using a CTI route point. Here is how I would do it:

1. VG248 phone line is in partitionA. It is in CSS_A

2. CSS_A has partition_B in it and nothing else.

3. Translation pattern "plar" is in partition Partition_B. This has nothing in the transformation pattern, but the destination phone number in the "Called Party Transform Mask". The CSS of the transformation pattern will include neither partition_A nor partition_B, but the other partition where your destination phone resides.

If this does not work, please send us a detailed CCM trace. Thanks!

Ashok, I had the CSS incorrect on the translation pattern(plar). I changed the CSS and it worked to both the CTI route point and without. I have removed the CTI route point. Thank you for your help.
